Ive been IBS-A for about 5 years now, but since March, Ive been leanign towards IBSC. So, my Dr prescribed me Zelnorm. I was really afraid to take it, because I didnt want all the Diarrhea and side effects, but I thought I should at leat give it a chance, so I took one,,,, and Nothing happened.. at all. All day went by and I didnt even get a urge to go. No headaches, no dirrhea, no nausea.. nothing. It felt as if I just took a sugar pill and didnt even take the real medicine. Should I be concerned?

I've been on and off Zelnorm a few times and I have to tell you the second cycle I was on it, it did absolutely nothing for me. I don't actually have a lot of stress in my life, but during that second cycle I was also getting married that month, so I think that's why it didn't work.
Anyway, Zelnorm has only proven to be effective in only 65 percent of patients, so you really shouldn't be afraid nothing happened. Unfortunately, if you're not particularily stressed right now and you are following Heather's diet, you might fall into the percentage of people who will not find relief with Zelnorm.
