I was reading in the book "Prescription for Nutritional Healing" and I was very surprised to read that beans, dried beans and prunes are soluble fiber. I thought they were IF. Are they or not?? I'm confused about Magnesium supplements b/c some books say that Citrate is the better one to take for C, but then in the Gut Solutions book from Renew your Life says to take Oxide to bring water to the bowel. Which ones are better??? I'm also a little confused abt whole and ground flax seeds. I hear and read that I should grind them, but then I went to the health store and saw that ground flax has lees fiber per serving that the whole ones. Why would that be? and Why would ground flax be better than whole for C?
Can somebody help me on this please !!!!!!! I really want to know what's better for me to take. I would appreciate your info on this. I always get great support here. Thank you guys :-)
Blessings, Abi

Seems to me I recall reading that the insides are often SF and the outer hull IF?

Yup. The outer skins of beans are insoluble fiber but the inside "mashable" part is high in soluble fiber. Remember a lot of foods are a mixture of soluble and insoluble fiber. . Not sure about the ground vs whole flax seed thing. Sorry, I can't help with the magneisum supp. I am IBS-D and take calcium.

Well, I don't know about the fiber difference, but I do know that unless you grind them you aren't going to get the good of the oil. All they *will* be is IF then.
