So, does anyone here on this site find that a lack of sex drive is a problem? Some people get quite depressed because of thier IBS (I know that the more stressed I am, the more attacks I get, the more depressed I get the less of a drive or want of sexual activity)
I'm only 23 years old, shouldn't I have hit (or be hitting) my peak soon?? To the people that have for the most part got a handle on thier ibs does the drive or want eventually get better??
(To the moderators: if this is too x-rated of a question i'm sorry and feel free to delete it, but pls don't automaticly kick me off the board)

They say that women hit their peak in their 30s, actually... and as someone who's in their 30s now, I can vouch for that being true, at least so far. LOL

I did find that my drive was basically nonexistent when I was at my sickest - I mean, if you think about it, it's hard to want to do *anything* if you're feeling like crap. If you're having feelings of depression on top of that, it's absolutely no wonder why you're feeling the lack of any kind of sex drive. It DOES get better. I've been stable for almost a year now, and things are definitely back to normal.

I would normally say to not worry much about it, things WILL get better, but some of that does depend on what you think the root of the problem is. If it's IBS symptoms, then you should see things improving as your health improves. If it's depression or stress, you might need to find ways of dealing with that - yoga, hypno, a therapist, meds, being more active, whatever it takes.

Good luck.
