Water Chestnuts Friend or Fo SF or IF

Just a quick question, any comments on water chestnuts. I love them and I don't seem to have any problems, but wonder if they are friendly fiber or not. I haven't posted in a while. I have been doing great. It's weird I have been eating very very bad, and am getting fat and sassy. I don't like it, but I'm love eating the bad foods. I'm NOT soliciting this for anyone with IBS to do, I just got tired of the same old stuff..........I am sure it's gonna catch up with me. I was down to 109 in December and am up 9lbs. As I said I am not recommending anyone to eat stuff we shouldn't, but I just couldn't take it anymore. And it's showing that eating carbs will not make you fat!!! Eating the bad stuff will!!! I am sure I will be back having my attacks, however I remain hopeful. Just wanted to know about the waterchestnuts!!

Yes, I am famaliar with the SF & IF lists. I didn't realize that chestnuts were water chestnuts. I thought chestnuts were an actual "nut" and the list says chestnuts.
I was just thinking of the Christmas song, Chestnuts roasting on an open fire.......I doubt that is water chestnuts.
