Does anyone know a list of over-the-counter pain medicine that should and should not be used? One time I took Ducelex, thinking it would help my constipation, and it made things ten times worse. My doctor told me later that Ducelex squeezes the muscles, and that was the last thing I needed. I'm used to taking tylonel or naproxem sodium for cramps. Could they be making the problem worse?

I have had no problem with tylenol.

Tylenol should not upset your tummy. However any of the nsaid (non steroidal anti inflammatory) drugs, like motrin or alieve can. It seems a couple of people can tolerate them but most it causes more ibs upset.
