Did he say why 4000 mg should be the highest? I'm impressed that your doc even knows about it.. Either way, for me 4000 = the nine capsules that I'm sometimes taking.

I use triphala from "Solaray", but I would think that any triphala would work, as long as there are the same ingredients and same amounts in each product.
