Has anyone ever had this done or considered getting it done? I've heard about a few people with IBS or constipation who have had this done and felt wonderful afterwards. Just wondered if anyone thinks its worth a try?

Do a search for past posts on this. Personally, you couldn't pay me to do this, as it's interfering with the normal function of your gut, and it's hard enough with IBS to try and keep your gut function on a stable track.

I've given this some thought too. Don't really want to do it though for the same reasons Heather mentioned. However, there do seem to be some colon cleanse processes that are less invasive than colonics that can have similar benefits. I just heard about a naturopathic method, and a book on it called something like "Guts and Glory". I'll try to find out more and post it here.

Personally I think that someone with a sensitive gut might have trouble with a lot of these "cleansing" methods.

Btw, I've heard of types of therapeutic massage that have a similar effect to colonic irrigation without the invasive technique and can shift stuff out. Maybe you could try and find a practitioner of this? I have IBS-d, so it's definitely NOT something I want.
