I'm going to Mexico with some friends. My medicine bag will weigh as much (if not more than my clothes!) Fiber, antacids, zantac for heartburn, laxitives (just in case), pepto-bismal (it is Mexico after all!) But my real question is how do I pack acacia I just don't know about taking a baggie of white powder across the border. Any ideas?

HUMMMM....Interesting dilemma. Maybe you could travel with an unopened package so they can see it is a food item, but that would only help until you used it! Duhhhh I'll be interested to see what kind of replies you get to this one. Good luck and have fun.

do a search for this, it has come up before. I think someone recommended film canisters but to bring the acacia label with you.

On a recent trip, I took an unopened package of Acacia, with me in a gallon-size ziploc bag. When I was ready to start using it, I snipped the corner of the package and poured some into a plastic container I brought with me (you could also use another plastic bag). I then closed the original Acacia container with a binder clip, so what was left could travel home still in its original container. Just remember to bring the binder clip - and scissors!
HTH. Enjoy your trip.
