I have used the search function and read all the FAQ's and can't find what I need.....I started the diet about 4 weeks ago. I began with the 1/2 tsp dosage of fiber and have faithfully excluded all the trigger foods. I am IBS-D, and its only gotten worse since I started. At first I thought maybe I wasn't taking enough fiber and now I think it may have been the fiber. I've heard others say fiber did not help them either. How do I know if I am not taking enough or shouldn't be taking it at all. I haven't taken any for about 2 days now and it's letting up a little, but how do I know if that's from stopping the fiber or from eating nothing but rice? Or could it be a problem with soy milk? I wish there was a manual!

The problem could be from a variety of things, including the ones you mentioned. What kind of fiber are you taking? Sometimes it takes a while to get on the right one for you. Lots of people have sensitivities to soy as well. If you like, post a list of typical foods you are eating in a day and I'll see if I can help.
