Which form of Flaxseed works the best with constipation? I looked it up, but I still can't decide which type would be better. Any suggestions?

If you laid off the exclamation points and the capitals and such, people would not feel like you were "yelling" at them and might be more inclined to answer you.
Hope you find the help you need.

I'll take that suggestion in mind. I thought that if I put exclaimation points there, more people were bound to see it, but I guess in a way, it might've been a little freaky or intimidating...

If someone doesn't answer your question in a timely manner, rather than repost the question, you can reply to your OWN post and put the word "bump" or "anyone have an idea on this?" in the subject line. That will bump your post back up to the forefront of the messages. I think this (not repeating, but bumping instead, if necessary) and losing the exclamation points/capitals will make people much more accepting and willing to help if they at all can.
As for the flaxseed, I understand it is available in "meal" form and I am only guessing that might be easier to tolerate (ground up), I know some other users here sprinkle flax on their oatmeal and such, but I don't have any personal advice for you.

You're probably better off trying the ground flax seed instead of the oil for IBS-C.

Which brand of flaxmeal do you use? Is it preground or do you grind it yourself?
Thanks!

I buy organic golden flax seeds from a local health food store and I grind it myself in a coffee grinding machine. I grind about a cup at a time and store it an air tight container in the refrigerator.

Do you take your flax before meals or after....or on the food itself? Do you use all 2 Tablespoons at once or spread it out throughout the day?
I want to try and rely more on flax for C help. Right now, I put 1 Tablespoon of flax in my morning hot cereal...and that's it for the day.
thanks again!

I also buy flaxseed whole and grind it up using a coffee grinder, along with almonds and pumpkin seeds, and put a couple of heaping tablespoons of this mix on my hot cereal for breakfast. I also mix it into soy yoghurt with some honey, or sprinkle it on a baked yam with a bit of flaxseed oil. If you're not into grinding your own flax, you might want to try FibreSmart, which I just started - it's a SFS primarily made of ground flaxseed. I like it.
