My Dr. wants me to go on a liquid diet due to what he thinks may be diverticulitis or an ulcerated colon. However, my wooried because all the things he siad to eat are bad for us IBSers. Chicken broth has MSG, Jell-O has things in it I don't think we can eat, and we cannot do juices. Help! What should I do!

Is a liquid diet necessary to treat that?
There is definetly chicken broth without MSG in it. All products have to list it if they contain any amount, so check the label for Monosodium Glutamate. If you're having problems finding some in a grocery store, just check at a health food store.
Also, for an easy quick soup, Liptons cup a soup chicken noodle has no MSG. Just don't get the creamy one.
And for juices, try cranberry juice.

Regular jello is fine as far as I know. Just don't get the sugar-free version.
