Fennel Tea: Help! I don't like it!

I just received my products (fennel tea, peppermint caps, book, acacia). I have never liked herb tea, but I thought I would try to acquire a taste. I tried the fennel tea last night plain with no sugar. I didn't like it at all. I tried it with a little sugar. I didn't like it at all. This morning I tried mixing it with another herb tea (I used one fennel tea bag and one orange tea bag). I didn't like it at all. Any suggestions for some ways to make it taste better (or even tolerable!) I realize this is a subjective question and what tastes good to one person will not necessarily taste good to another, but I need any help I can get! I very much want and need the benefits of the fennel tea, but I REALLY don't like it.
Help!

mmm...I don't like it either! I've been taking them in a pill format, but honestly, I'm not sure if they have the same or less effectiveness that way.

Where do you get it in pill form?

I find it tastes better with some honey, if you can tolerate that.
Though, to be honest, I've just gotten used to the taste. It's better when it's cooled down a bit, too.

I'm not too big of a fan of fennel. Thats why I just drink lots of peppermint tea (there is a brand that has mint and ginger and it's decent as well)

try brewing a STRONGER cup... then like someone else said....also try it after it is cooled off.... sometimes I will brew a STRONG cup..(like today....) 16oz water and two tea bags.... and let it sit for 20-30 mins before I even drink it... it is easier for me to drink it that way...

Yea, it kind of makes me feel sick as well. I have forced down 3-4 cups since last night and I am actually more bloated today than I have been in a while. I wonder if it's the tea, or it could be the sandwich I had for lunch yesterday and today.
I can tolerate the peppermint tea a little better, but not much.

Thanks. I've been using 1 bag with 6 oz. water and letting it sit for at least 10 minutes. Should be pretty strong that way. Maybe I just need to force it down.

You can try adding a little honey, or soy milk, or both. You might be able to make tea and then use it in other things. Add it to something your cooking, maybe? I don't know if it will still be effective that way, but worth a try.

Try Celestial Seasonings Tummy Mint tea. It has peppermint, fennel and chammomile. You can't taste the fennel at all. Just the mint.

A lot of people hate fennel tea. The trick is to mix it with something stronger, so the fennel becomes a pleasant side note, rather than the main event. Here's an old thread that talks about some teas to mix it with. I'm not sure if I talk about it in that thread, but I've found that one peppermint tea bag (I use Lipton) brewed with 1/2 teaspoon of Heather's fennel seeds for 5 minutes is quite pleasant if I add a little sugar. Someone - I think it's HanSolo - says she just holds her nose and drinks it and if you truly want to give it a try for gas and bloating that might be the way to go: brew it strong, think of it as medicine, and down the hatch.
You could also cook with it, but the only recipe I have that uses it is my spaghetti sauce - I throw in a generous teaspoon or so.
HTH.

I add honey to my fennel tea, enough to kill the taste!

Okay. Does it have enough fennel though to really make a difference?
