so i've come down with a pretty bad cold, and, one day in, i can already tell that i'm headed towards c. (i'm an a.) i'm still taking my sfs, but the idea of eating my usual if veggies is none too appealing - i'm in jello and popsicles and soup mode right now. i also think being sick, aside from food, is contributing, too. any advice for keeping my ibs stable while i'm dealing with a major cold?

I woke up today with the flu. I also need some ideas as to what to eat. I am trying to drink cranberry juice, but the brand I have doesn't have enough vitamin C added. ..What else can I eat?

Unfortunately I think no one has replied because there really isn't an answer. Flus and colds just have to be waited out while getting plenty of rest and fluids. There's a lot of talk about herbal remedies, you could always try some and see if it helps.
If you can tolerate a vitamin supplement it might help. Make sure you eat well and don't try any foods that are borderline problematic, since you are sick your whole body is affected and you stomach will be more sensitive.

It sounds like you mostly need rest & fluids. I wouldn't stress too much about eating. Maybe some SF fruits for vitamin C? Mango? A mango smoothie with some soy milk or mori-nu and a couple strawberries? Get better. I'd sleep it off. There are some great safe organic soups, too.
