I wish you luck finding the help you deserve. I only met you once for a couple of minutes, but you seemed so sweet. I had no idea you were having such a bad time. I've been to the place where I could not eat anything and lost hope, but fortunately I found this website and responded well with Acacia and diet. Life is so short, I hope you can find what you need and soon. Good Luck, Keep in touch, I can see that this group likes you and hates to see you go.

it was good meeting you as well. i know the saying that life is short all too well and that's why im taking action now instead of waiting around for my symptoms to clear. i really enjoy coming hear to post my questions and such and ive really found some great friends that have made having IBS a little more easier to cope with...[since alot of people here are just like me] so i too am a little sad to have to leave but sometimes you just have to take a break. and for now that is what i am doing. ive been struggling alot and alone for over 4 years and its either now or never for a remedy that works! i plan to return, but only when i have promising news to share. thanks for your reply!

i cant even begin to tell you how much your post and multiple other posts have meant to me!! ive always felt like i could relate with you not only b/c you were a C but b/c we always seemed to be on the same wavelength with our symptoms and trials and tribulations. dont even think for a minute that im going to stop exchanging ideas and emails with you b/c good friends are very hard to come by. ive only learned that in my 20 years of living. i do wish to come back and post again as soon as i am able but right now i really think that its best that i do break for a little while. the BTC diet really put me over the edge b/c during the time i was on it, i had to watch my body struggle and change and in the end it did no good--no matter how careful and safe i was.
im in the midst of getting a new 2nd job [hopefully] and also trying to plan out [financially] 2 vacations this summer. in edition, im setting up my classes for the fall and im really needing a clear mind. periodically i will have several mood lifts where i feel the need to makeover and change alot of things to make room for more clarity. this just happened to be one of those times when i felt i should really buckle down and figure out this IBS once and for all. if eating for IBS doesnt work with me, then maybe there's another problem i am not finding.
but please do not fret bethie! i will miss you dearly even though we will still keep in touch, i will miss posting and having another Cer to reply!! search for my username in a little while for i may heal faster then i know. just right now i need to focus on and listen to my body and do what its been telling me to do for a long time.

Hi Flipada, Oh yes, I eat more veggies and fruit and whole grains, don't forget the whole grains. I usually eat a one cup bowl of Raisin Bran about an hour after my breakfast oatmeal, plus I typically have some whole grain breads with lunch and dinner. If you're still not going well enough, try some Miralax or other osmotic laxatives. Additionally,if your IBS has been severe an SSRI AD may be in order.I take Paxil as you probably read, Prozac is a very good one though.Very sorry about your children, I wish you the best in getting them stabilized! -Bob

Thanks Bob. I'm taking Wellbutrin which I just upped since getting diagnosed. I'm having a horrible time at work and I'm newly married. Lots of stress. Trying to work on it.
Right now though, I'm just working on the diet and taking some Benefiber. I haven't tried any other medications yet. I just don't feel that my symptoms warrant it. I'm mainly gas and bloat and well, sometimes nausea and of course the dreaded C.
The kids are feeling a bit better today. I think both will be in school tomorrow. But it was a long night indeed.
Thanks for your input!

You're welcome! By the way, Wellbutrin should be fine. Again, make sure to get your IF consumption up. That should get you going better, and that in turn will greatly diminish the gas and bloat. I think your new job stress is probably behind your nausea. It should go away as you adjust. -Bob
