Naturopathic doctors

Does anyone see a Natuopathic doctor? I am at my wits end and have decided to finally see a Naturopathic doctor. I'm hoping he will be able to help me and the pain that I get in my lower abdominals.
Has anyone had any luck with their Naturopathic doctor and what did they did/give you to help.

How do you find one that knows what they are doing? And is reputable and educated in GI problems?
Does your insurance cover him? I'm pretty sure mine doesn't.

He came very highly recommended by family and friends of my parents. I have gone to see him since I was about 13 or 14. Insurance only covers the consultation fee, everything else is paid for out of my own pocket.
