We had a great dinner tonight at the Pasta Shoppe in Oak Park, followed by peppermint tea at Caribou. There are photos, but I must say that everyone is much more charming in person: Flickr photos.
I hope Snorkie, Bluesguy, BobK, and little bear all made it home ok, and that everyone's gut behaved. I think we managed to have a very IBS-friendly evening, even if we all have completely different soy cheese preferences. I really enjoyed meeting everyone, and look forward to another get-together soon!

I'm jealous. Great photos. Next time I'll hop in my private jet and join you. LOL, yeah right .... I live in a town that doesn't even have a taxi. Bob, great to see what you look like out of costume.

Wow AC, That was quick! Could you email me the photos. We made it home ok, but it was'nt without some excitement. My Dad was feeling sick and started to doze off on Irving Park Rd..I alerted him just in time to avoid rear ending the car in front of us. I think next time I'm goimg to EL back and forth. -Bob

You guys are all so cute! Everyone looks much different than I thought (even those who have profile pics). I'm not saying that's a bad thing! I'm from Indiana, so maybe I will show up at one of these in the future. Looks fun.

It was a pleasure to meet all of you. I'm sorry little bear arrived at the end of the evening and I did not really get to talk with her. I would like to find out more about being Vegan, and she is really cute, too, but probably the same age as my daughter. Great job AC of picture posting with captions on the food. Bob was regal with his hat and vest and Snorkie gave me the idea to have the sauce on the side. Unfortunately for me, I had just started some antiobiotics a few hours before and spent a wierd, painful evening, but nothing bad physically happened (if you know what I mean) and I'm feeling better as the day goes on. It's good to test your limits on occasion. You people seem to be able to tolerate a lot more than I can. Maybe someday I will too, but I look forward to meeting you all again, but please make it warmer outside. I'll bring a harmonica next time. Best Wishes to all, Bluesguy
