Does anyone find that lexapro helps with IBS-D? I have recently started it and was curious how it affected other people.

I have a prescription for it but haven't started taking it. I'm IBS-D also and would probably start if I was sure it would help. I kind of rely on Immodium and an occasional lomotil. It would be nice to be stable without taking them all the time.
Let me know how it works for you! Sandy

Hey Sandy, I have been taking the lexapro for about 2 weeks now. The first week it was giving me weird headaches in the back of my head, but now they have subsided. I seem to be feeling a little better, but hasnt really helped with my D yet. My doctor said its could take at least 4-6 weeks to feel the total effect. Also is the lomotil just a more powerful immodium? Just curious. Thanks!
