I've read on some SFS bottles where it says not to take the SFS for 2 years after or one hour before taking medication. supposedly, the medication is not absorbed as well and fully.

Hmmm....any thoughts on this? I take a little SFS before meals, and then always take meds right after eating. Am I getting less of a dosage this way?

Hi, Augie. I've heard of this too, but I'm not sure which medications it applies to. My friend who has PCOS can't take it with one of her medications. I did a search and only came up with this list - Possible Interactions with SFS. I think if it does react with your medication it should say so when you look up medical info on that specific drug. I was just prescribed amitriptyline and the info sheet mentioned not taking it with an SFS or with a high fiber meal; since I take it at bedtime it's not a problem.

HTH a little! If you have any other questions you could ask your pharmacist.

I see warnings on the SFS bottles...so I always worry. I called the pharmacist and he thought I was okay with my meds. I hope he's right! Hard to trust...so maybe I'll try calling another one to see if they say the same thing.

Just teasin' ya - I usually ignore typos cause I have SO MANY of my own, but that was cute.

Other than that I am clueless on that topic.
