Boiled cane toads... heh.
Prunes are, basically, IF. If you eat them like any other IF - with a good base of SF - they should be fine. I say this as someone who's not even a true C'er, who used to be sensitive to ANY dried fruit, but now I can eat just about any of them as long as I have that SF first. Just go easy on them. No eating whole packages of prunes, LOL!!
I agree on the coffee and honey, though. Coffee is pretty harsh on the gut anyway, and I would definitely steer clear of that - it might make you "go", but it's ultimately going to irritate your guts more.
Honey might be helpful, but I found during my C phase that it was really too mild to do much of anything on its own.

The boiled cane toads is just a joke for the Australians. You wouldn't want to eat them, they secrete some kind of low level poison in their skin as a defensive mechanism.
Well, yes, but does the poison cure IBS? (Sorry, just kidding. Although dollars will get you doughnuts, someone somewhere is pushing this very thing as an IBS cure.)

I'm not a "C", but these beloved berries are KNOWN to be poop-makers! I dearly love 'em, but I gotta go REEEEEEL easy on 'em! (I'm a "D".)
Even so, they're a LOT easier on the digestive system than prunes, believe me!

Beth, Why are you going to try it? Just joking. No, I'm not right now, because it takes so long to make, and I've fried two blenders so far while making it. I was using dried prunes, and they're too difficult for the blender to chop up.Now, I'm just eating a one cup bowl of raisin bran instead. -Bob

I'm afraid of wheat, let alone Bran...and add prunes to the mix. I might have a BM...but I think the pain might kill me. But then again, I've never tried it. But I can't afford to buy a box of cereal just to experiment...let alone multiple blenders.

Actually, Bevvy, I have to agree. Those blueberries rank very highly. CHERRIES (fresh) totally have a major re-laxative effect on me too. Ditto for blackberries. Actually most jam notorious fruits do clean me out. Butt, especially cherries.
Apple juice really cleans me out for some strange reason.
Sushi (seaweed) cleans me out, too.
