I dont know wht is wrong..I am eating all safe foods..still not stoppping...I got internal hemorroid last week bcose of this...
I also have acid reflux.
Just want to know If I can have chamomile tea...Does it increase acid reflux ?
I am getting frustrated...Please advice...for stopping my diarhae...pls help!

It may actually help calm down your tummy....and it won't upset your acid reflux.
Maybe you need a different antispasmodic? There are a ton to choose from. Bentyl did nothing for me but give me dry mouth. I hated it. You could use NuLev, Levsin, Donnatol, Pamine...there are so many to choose from!
Also, lots of D folks take Immodium everyday to help the D. You can take it safely everyday if you need it. Some take up to 6 every single day to control the D.

Chamomile is calming on the stomach. Do you have any fennel tea? Cause I like to make a mix with the chamomile and fennel, I find it works better The only tummy teas you want to be careful of is any kind of mint ones, those can worsen acid reflux.

Thanks for your quick reply. I will buy chamomile tea now!
I am having IBS for past 5yrs..During 1st year of IBS...It was very difficult to control...slowly I got to knw the food safe for my tummy...So I stopped medicines..which I was taking when I was in India..I dont remember which medicine it was tkng.then evrythg was under control for past 2-3 yrs.I got acid reflux arnd 6months back. So I took aciphex.Which gave relief.I wanted to have a baby so I went to naturopath in NYC so tht i can stop aciphex. After taking vitamins..I noticed green stool for 2 days...then i reduced the vitamin c dose. I was also having quercitin and glutamine and lacto dociphhilus. this doctor did a gastrogram and found that I was having less acid in stomach not excess acid. Before gng to naturopath i did an endoscopy which told tht i have high acid...tht was the reason for tkng aciphex.
then naturopath gave me amino acid tablets also to increase acid level...I donno if vitamins caused this or if it is some food infection.
I stopped vitamins a week back..
I am having on/off diaarrhae for past 20 days..i hve to go to loo only once ...then it is loose...like paste...
I also got a rectal pain last week which bcose of hemorroid - internal.
hemorroid settled down...i met a gastroenterologist in nyc..were i did colonoscopy...which was clear...waitng for biopsy.
so now I am in just bentyl and citrucel..which is not helping much.
i am confused...i dont know wht to do.
I will start taking chamomile tea also.
Does anyone know a good gastroenterologist in NYC...or new jersey city.?
please adivice if i totally avoid vitamins ?
if i shd continue bentyl ?
i am thinking to wait for 2-3 days and see if bentyl helps at all...
wht shd i do...?
i dont have heavy diaarhae...thank god...but still its no good...
wht shd i do ?

Ginger tea is very settling to the stomach, but may cause acide reflux, so beware!

My doc prescribed 8 imodium (loperamide) a day to control my D. I take 1 in the morning, 2 before meals and 1 at bedtime, and I've never been better. Imodium has been a lifesaver for me. I had 9-20 attacks a day unmedicated and dwindled to a bmi of 14. Today I am at a healthy weight and can actually eat outside my diet when I am stable, something I'd never be able to do with out my friend, Imodium!!
Try taking one before you eat, then see if you have an attack. It is ok to take before you have an attack, as a preventative. It's available over the counter, and you can start with the pills first (2mg loperamide). If you have explosive gas with your attacks you can try the chewables as well.
You don't deserve to feel this way!! Please try the medication and see if it helps. Best,
~nelly~
