Grumbling Noises?

I have noticed that since I've begun taking either Metamucil or Citrucel I have had a large increase in grumbling noises throughout the digestive area. There is no pain associated, but the noises are frequent and pretty darn loud. Has anyone else had this similar experience?

Alicia: Welcome to the board! I have "grumbling noises" when I am really active, like at work or had a bad IBS day. I would think your body will adjust to metmucil after awhile. Anyone else have input??? Mary

How much are you taking? Perhaps you should cut your dose in half and then slowely raise it?

I'm using 1 tblsp. before breakfast and 1 before dinner. I didn't think that was quite the recommended dosage yet.
