Ugh...feeling flu-ish. Anyone tried Airborne?

I've got a sore throat and some body aches...the tell tale signs that I am coming down with that nasty flu that I so gleefullly thought I evaded. My brother has a thing of Airborne and I am so tempted to take some, but am leery as I sometimes have problems with larger than normal quantities of vitamins. I start work and school again tomorrow and cannot afford to be doubled over in pain. Anyone take the stuff? Dire consequences? Good to go? Thanks!

I have taken Aireborne before and it did make me a little gassy. But, large amounts of vitamins do that to me. It may have a different effect on you, though. Maybe try a smaller dose first?

Good luck, hope you feel better soon.

it has sorbitol in it, which is a killer trigger for me!

I've taken it and been ok with it, although I wait for a bit of the carbonation to die down before I start drinking. You might want to have a nice slice of bread (or a serving of rice) with it - that might buffer any bad reactions.

I take it A LOT, with absolutely no problems.

Well to be honest, I've only taken the CVS generic version but it works like a charm!

You might try the Airborne lozenges-- I've found they work great for sore throats.

I tried some Emergen-C (very similar to Airborne) recently and had a bad reaction to it (probably as a result of the carbonation on an empty stomach).

Hi Amanda,

I have taken Airborne at least 4 times, and never had any reaction. I do feel ill when I take mega vitamin doses, but Airborne didn't bother me at all. By the way, it works!

Hope you feel better.
