Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone eats grapes out there, how they tolerate them etc? I used to LOVE grapes but since I got really nervous about fruits and veg, I haven't tried them.. probably for years! I'd really like to have them again, but wanted to get some feedback from everyone else before I dive right in, hee hee.
Cheers! --Steph

LOVE them things! Yes, I eat them all the time. However, Steph, when I first got stable, I'd get a rumbly tummy after a dish of grapes. Then, after awhile, I could eat as many as I wanted. I think my body just had to get used to them gradually.
Where are you finding them at this time of year? In CANADA? REALLY? Ooooh, I may have to make a trip up there....

Um, yeah, I dunno if they are actually in season right now or if I could find them anywhere, I just really want some grapes, darnit!
I'm glad you can handle them, I think I might try just having 2 or 3 at first and see how I do... Just if everyone else jumped in and said, "No! They make me so sick!" I might have stayed away.
Mmm, so glad you can have them!!
Cheers, --Steph

I have grapes sometimes and I'm fine with it. You can or should be able to get grapes almost all year round at your grocery store since they import many things from warmer climates.

I eat grapes with no problems, now, after getting some SF in me, of course. I avoided them like the plague for months after starting Heather's diet, then finally tried them when I made this pasta salad. I did fine with them in the salad and now I eat them straight.
It might be my imagination, but I think I tolerate the red seedless better than the green seedless.
Enjoy!

I do ok if I just have a few after SF... but I don't have them very much because I LOVE grapes and find it next to impossible to just have a few!
And yes you can find grapes in Canada at this time of year! Shipped from somewhere warm. Not as good as in the summer but still available!

I can handle a small handful of grapes. After that, I get gassy. Not terribly uncomfortably so, but enough so I know not to eat too many.

I can have about 10-15 and then that is enough for me. I just make sure that I chew them really good.
