I've noticed that this brand of sauce is on the safe foods list. I looked it up online and it is dairy free, low fat, etc. Is that why it is safe? I just use to get sick after having spaghetti, but maybe it is because I ate it w/ meat sauce (mom's homemade w/ ground beef and ribs!) and parmesan cheese? I'm just scared to have an attack because I've been doing so well lately, but I miss marinara sauce so much! Have a lot of you had luck eating Amy's?

Thanks!!

Amber

I've never tried Amy's, but I'm betting that it's safe for the very reasons you mentioned - dairy free and low fat. (I use Ragu Chunky, myself.)

Your mom's spaghetti sounds killer, and not in a good way. LOL! You can give some pasta with plain sauce (skip the meat and cheese!) a try, just go light on the sauce at first. Some people can't do tomato sauce at all because of the acidity, but a lot of us are just fine with it - you won't know till you try it.

Also, if you find yourself really wanting the Parmesan, you should be able to find a soy Parmesan alternative at the health food store - or even the grocery store, that's where I find mine. Believe it or not, it's a reasonably good substitute.
