Just wondering for those who are stable how many grams of SFS do you take daily. Not what type you are on, but how many grams. I can not get stable and it has been 10 months so maybe my SFS amount is to low. Thanks, Lisa

Yikes! That stuff will keep me in the bathroom 24-7! I can't tolerate even a quarter teaspoon. And I found out the HARD way! Oy....

I wouldn't say I'm fully stable, I have weeks when I am and then I do something dumb like yesterday (eat with liberty) and then D! I take about 3 teaspoons of Acacia a day. I space it out with the last dose normally about an hour before I go to bed. If I'm out, I take a few fibercon along or Benefiber to take before a meal. Everyone is different though and I'm you'll get different answers!

You know...you may have a really good point there. I'm going to "bum" that idea off you.
Yes, I'm quitting mine.

Thanks everyone, really interesting the different amounts or not on any at all. I can say if I did not have my SFS I would be much worse. I tried both ways, no SFS and SFS. Thanks, Lisa

15 grams of Acacia...1T a.m. & 1T p.m Worked like magic for me once I got the dosage adjusted slowly. It only took me a couple of weeks to work up to 15.

Acacia 16g daily, 8g before breakfast and 8g before dinner in the evening. IMO it is the Acacia that has made the biggest difference in trying to control my ibs - and I have been "living" with it for over 30 years. Judith
