I have recently been diagnosed with IBS and, thank goodness found this site. My question is this: I also have Rosacea (adult acne) and some of the triggers of Rosacea are anything hot(tea, coffee, etc). I was wondering if the tummy teas (peppermint and Fennel) could be taken cold or luke warm and still have the same medicinal properties? Thanks for your help and for this site!

Hi, and welcome! The teas should be just as effective in terms of medicinal properties no matter what temp you drink them at. Heat in and of itself is a muscle relaxant, so hot teas can help in that way. And ice cold drinks can make your muscles contract, which can trigger problems.

So...brew the herbs with boiling hot water (they won't brew effectively in warm or cold water), but then let the tea cool to room temp before you drink it.
