I have IBS-C and notice an unusual trend. When I have an attack which for me is tightness in my upper colon just around my belly button and nauseau I sometimes have the strangest symptom. I feel pressure in my vagina and only feel relief when I pass air out of my vagina. Once this happens the pressure and nauseau is relieved. Does anybody else share these symptoms? I am so embarassed to discuss this but I am desperate for an answer. Thanks in advance of any replies. Lauriea

I don't *exactly* have this, but I do have the gut analog. One of my reactions to anxiety is to swallow air. In combination with gut cramps, I become Miss Fartastic!
The hypno CDs have helped me a lot with this. Because I've now learned how to relax into an attack rather than tense up, hyperventilate and fight it, the severity of this has really gone down. Also, a heating pad on your belly relaxes your pelvic muscles along with your gut (and it feels terrific) - I've thwarted several attacks that way.
Hope this helps! --AC

I get something similar! Everything "down there" is so cramped together it makes sense that C and gas would put pressure on your girly bits.
