For people who own this book, you know that Heather has put together sample meal plans at the end of the book. Often, the meal list a small fresh pear, or a small fresh apple. Do you think she means a peeled fresh fruit? She doesn't stipulate in the menu section....but she does talk about peeling as helping to eat them. So, did she leave it up to us?

How did you interpret her meal suggestions regarding the fruit? I've always wanted to ask her that since purchasing the book a few years ago already!

Personally, I would always peel, especially since it's raw.

Here is a quote from this page on Insoluble Fiber from Heather. I personally peel mine as well.

Quote:

Peaches, nectarines, apricots, and pears with skins (peeled they're much safer)
Apples (peeled they're safe)
