Hey Steph! I don't have a tea press - I just make do with a coffee pot & a sieve. Some of the tea leaves get through, but they don't bother me. I just drink them. ![](/messageboards/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif)
If they bother you, is it possible you could line your tea press with a coffee filter? I'm not sure how they work, so don't know if it's possible.

but had nothing but problems! I got it from amazon, and it came in broken. So, I sent it back, and my replacment was broken in the same place! Amazon finally sent me an email saying the problem must be more widespread than they thought and wouldn't send me another, but refunded my money.
I tried from another website, and they wrote back and said they no longer had it in stock.
Where else can I get one of these? Any ideas?

these are essentially the same as their french press coffee presses.. look locally- bodum makes MOST of the ones sold in the states but not all, but the concept is the same for coffee or tea.. actually I think the one for tea has a slightly larger resevoir below the press foot, but it just means you get a slightly smaller amount of overall tea when you press teas into it instead... I could be backwards- mom uses both.. I've been thinking about getting one for me.. or even 2/3... they make them in all sizes, she uses a 1 cuip one for her morning coffee- only caffeine she has all day, and has a few spare for company who wants caffeinated coffee, and uses a larger one for decaf... I've used all of hers at different times ot make teas...

this is different from the coffee ones- I've used those and had no problems though... the coffee ones are tall and thin... and they are designed to restrain coffee grounds, so very little tea ever gets through- leaves that is...
