I just went on Amazon.com and saw there was a sale on Luna Bars in case anyone was interested.

Thanks Melissa!! That works out to $0.80 per bar... for Luna bars it is $11.99 per box of 15 and if you spend over $25 it is free shipping... so, $11.99 times two is only $23.98 so you have to buy three boxes to get free shipping.... but hey, if you normally get them for $0.99 that is still a savings of $8.55 total... so it IS worth it to ME to order 3 boxes and save my gas to get to Whole Foods where they are $0.99 each!!

So these are safe for IBSers (I'm D)? I've seen bars similar to this at the store, but I was afraid to try. What flavors do you like most? Do you usually eat them after a meal? I have virtually cut out all sweets except graham crackers, honey combs, and sometimes I make zucchini bread (which is delicious!). I would LOVE to sink my teeth into some chocolate!

This is a great deal, and I believe the sale lasts through October. At Target, I can usually get Luna Bars for 88 cents/bar, but they don't get more than one box of each flavor per month.
Anyway, I ordered a box couple of weeks ago (plus Cliff Bars for bf and a book) and got my order in a week! Not bad for free shipping! I think I'm going to order a couple more boxes this week.

I'm IBS-D too, and I haven't had a problem with Luna Bars. My favorite flavor is Chocolate Peppermint Stick and I usually eat them as a snack between meals and/or as part of my breakfast.

other favorite flavors - sweet dreams, nutz over chocolate, chocolate pecan pie... basically anything that involves chocolate or caramel. the fruitier flavors get a little sketchy. and chai tea is just weird.
roommates and i are buying, like, five boxes to share. this is such a better way to buy them than for $1.50 each. damn new york city prices!

You can get your tracking number from Amazon and track it thru UPS (at least that is the carrier they used for mine). Mine will be here Monday...not bad!

I personally LOVE a good bargain and love sharing them too!
I just ordered 3 boxes last night - cherry covered chocolate, orange bliss, peppermint. I've never tried the peppermint kind yet, so hope I like them! LOL The other 2 don't sell at my regular store, so now I don't have to travel for them. And, yes, I'm REALLY stocked on them now also! LOL I got an email today that one box (the peppermint) has shipped already!
