I keep hearing about how whole grains are so healthy, prevent cancer and all that good stuff. I really try to eat healthy and I'm fear I'm not getting enough of these. Only problem is... they're often insoluble fiber. Except oatmeal and barley (is that right?) How do you all get whole grains into your diet? Are there any other safe whole grains?

Brown rice. Remember, the benefits of soluble fibre or often downplayed or forgotten. They're good for your body too. As for the insolubles, we all get as much as we can. That varies from person to person. Just do your best and try not to worry. There will likely be times in your life when your IBS is much better, and you will be able to tolerate more. I'm certainly like that.
