Hi

I am new to this site. I am living in the UK, and I have crohn's disease.

I am interested in following this diet as my GI is keen for me to follow a low residue diet.

Is it possible to make the breads in the book, in a breadmaker? I am hoping to get one soon.

Thanks

Tanya

Just wanted to say hi, and welcome to the boards!

Yeast breads might be adaptable for a bread machine. Heather's quick-bread recipes, like the banana and zucchini breads, don't work well in bread machines at all. First of all, you do have to have a machine that will *specifically* make quick breads, not just any old basic machine. But I found that it doesn't rise right, and it comes out dense and with a crust like tree bark... a complete waste of ingredients. Follow the recipes and use the oven instead!

Hey there! Heather's breads are easy to make in the oven - I use just one standard loaf tin for the zucchini bread and it comes out great.

If you want any Brit pointers, just ask!
