Do any of you all have a good recommendation for any Lean Cuisine or Smart Ones meals that I could buy that won't mess with my IBS-D? I take them to school sometimes to eat for lunch (teach 8th grade) and need to keep my tummy calm all day. Thanks!

I don't know about those brands, but Amy's brand has some safe frozen dishes. I like the tofu lassagna and the soy cheese pizza pocket. There's also a non-dairy burrito, but be careful cause this seems to have lots of IF, but I haven't had problems with it.
You can find Amy's brand at Wild Oats and my Safeway has some selection.

Smart Ones Turkey Medallions with Green Beans and Mushrooms is good to me. Lean Cuisine makes a similar dinner.
Smart Ones also has a "stuffed turkey breast" dinner, but I like the turkey medallions better.

I often (too often ) eat Healthy Choice for lunch. The mandarin chicken is good, but I pretty much do fine with all the ones without dairy in them. I personally don't like the way chicken tastes in Lean Cuisine meals. It tastes over-processed to me.

Yeah, I love Amy's! Just be careful though. I've got some frozen tortellini sitting in my freezer I'm afraid to eat because the fat content is 22%.

The only "normal" frozen dinner I've found to be safe is Smart Ones Angel Hair Marinara. I eat that a lot in the winter. It's very simple, just angel hair pasta with spaghetti sauce and a few pieces of chopped zucchini and mushrooms. Most others I've found contain some milk products.

Hi Passanie, That's under Heather's limit of 25%, but aren't tortellini's usually filled with meat or cheese? I've never come across any that weren't. I used to love tortellini alfredo, yum. -Bob

Is there any meat the mariara? If I know my sauces it is meatless but I have to be uber-sure! I ate a piece of veal the other day and was sick for a week!
I work from home and can eat simple lunches...I prefer them actually. The easier the better!

Nope, no meat in the marinara!
I just thought of some other refrigerated meals I enjoy. Yves makes two, penne and lasagna, that are fantastic. They're made with TVP, or fake "meat". They're a little tougher to find but if you can locate them they're fantastic.

I love the Lean Cuisine Grilled Chicken Penne....it tastes great and doesn't bother my tummy.....I do take the broccoli out, though.

Yeah, it's cheese. Actually I can handle some tortellini I've made at home, but I don't know, I usually go for a lot less fat content than that... those processed things seem to have so much fat and junk in them. I'm not sure why I bought it.
