I know we all talk about whole grain and half grain and flour and oat fiber, etc. What exactly is the difference between all of the grain stuff??? I don't really know, I know general mills is really pushing their cereals because they are whole grain, but I thought whole gain was IF? I may be wrong, just want to clarify before I got buying things that will irritate my tummy...............Thanks.

If something is whole grain, it still has the bran intact. The bran is pure insoluble fiber. Therefore, yes, treat whole grains as insoluble fiber... for the most part. I believe oatmeal is the exception. (Oatmeal is actually whole grain, but it's still listed as a SF food.)
