Could anyone give me advice on the best tasting and safest bread? I tried fresh and it works but it goes stale so quickly and cost more, thanks.

I love mine and it's great knowing for sure the bread is safe. I make small loaves so it gets eaten before it's goes stale.

Otherwise, just check the ingredients for triggers and buy the best quality bread available.

I agree with Linz, I've just dusted mine off made my own bread this morning only a very small loaf which lasted me breakfast & Lunch only making more at the moment for dinner this evening, Ive bought a ready made premium mix that you just add water to! I emailed the makers of it just to double check everything & they were really helpful actually the one I'd picked up had been accredited to the vegan society so no probs there

If you refrigerate it, it lasts longer and you can always freeze it, then heat it up.

I bought a metal breadbox at Ikea and it does wonders for keeping bread. I saved more than the $25 US it cost in maybe 6 months.

I can keep Whole Foods sourdough bread (no preservatives or fat at all) in the breadbox for over 7 days.

I usually buy the long loaves of French (watch ingredients, some have dairy) at WalMart $1.00. When I get home I split it up into 3 bags and freeze 2 of them. I still throw out some but not as much as without freezing. Taste and texture hasn't been effected at all by the freezing and I'm very picky about frozen foods.
