Sorry I didn't see this sooner I missed it somehow...
I don't recall the name of the test..I think something Alyssa? I will try to search for you and get back to you on the name. YES! you put it in your food and take a sample and it tells you how much gluten is in it.
Good to know about Mc Cormick! I saw this on-line as well...so we are now doubly confirmed! BUT if you buy something...like a tomato sauce...with spices it may have gluten...but I bet you already thought of that (took me a while though!)
I am intolernt to gluten. The same way a person can get an IBS attack from milk...I get sick from gluten! Even a bit of it can do me in!

For the gluten testing kits. I don't know about the US but over here they are very expensive and you'd probably really only use it if you went to a restaurant and didn't really trust the chef or something. But here they are, hope this helps.
