Does anyone else have this problem with peppermint oil capsules? I bought the enteric coated capsules in the health food store and after two days of taking them my tummy is burning and I'm tasting peppermint oil. Yikes!

The exact same thing happened to me. They cause an acid reflux like reaction with the burning and burping of a peppermint taste. I had to stop taking them and rely more on Immodium tablets now.

I had problems with them and my GERDs. You can get rx anti-spasmodics that will do the same kind of thing tho.

They burn all the way through me, and out the other end. I can't take them at all.

is to make sure you take the capsules on a totally empty stomach, and at least one hour before a meal. Some capsules have thinner enteric coating than others - you might try a different brand.
