Hi
Do I have to just eat safe foods when I have my period and a severe attack? It's hard to just eat safe foods since they have very little fiber, so I get very severe c. I can only eat rice krispies, honeycomb, fat free pita ( it's similar to french bread it just had no sugar and of course shaped differently). The rest of the foods are not sold here and there are some foods I can't have. Can I just eat the foods I usually do so I don't get severe c ? The foods I eat are
fat free and a couple are very low fat.
Thanks so much.

Hi Angel - How do you do if you keep your diet the same when you have your period? You could try increasing your soluble fiber supplement in the days right beforehand...

Hi
When I keep my diet the same when I have my period I get less c then when I just eat the 3 safe foods I mentioned. That's the only difference. How many days before my period should I increase my Citrucel intake and how much should I increase it to?
Thanks Heather

When I keep my diet the same I'm less likely to get severe c. How much should I increase my Citrucel before I get my period and how many days before my period should I increse my Citrucel intake? My period doesn't always come on time.
Thanks Heather.

Hi - Sounds like you should keep your diet the same. Try increasing the Citrucel about one week before you think you'll get your period, by 1t extra per dose. What are you currently taking?

Hi - that may be the max amount. You want 10-12 grams of the supplement per day. What does the bottle say 1 tsp or 1 T dose equals in grams?

Hello
1 dose is a tbsp and that equals 11.5 g.
