How frequently can Philips Chews be taken without causing harm? Is once or even twice a week to much?

I am in so much pain, and so tired of hurting from this chronic constipation. I need something to take that will help me. Nothing has helped me so far.

Please, help me get out of this pain.

I hurt so badly form C. I need something that will help me go or I'm going go crazy from pain. I hurt so much and don't even feel close to having any sort of BM. Not even a little pebble.

I need to find something to take to stop this chronic and continual constipation.

I have so much pain, cramps, bloat.... I am so miserable I want to cry!

I don't know and have never been told if they are safe or not and if they are a stimulant or not. I take them every few months and take them on vacation a little bit. I am careful since it is always good to err on the side of caution.

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

It's equivalent to taking Milk of Magnesia, it's more bearable to take. I've tried them before and they leave a wierd aftertaste though. Once a week is not going to be harmful, just don't use it daily.

Because I have no issues at all with bottled, but tap water from other places-it must be the mineral content. I live in a city of a million and it's filtered to the wazoo. It's almost so filtered that it's bad, you know? Any iron, etc, makes me "bung up" or have D attacks.

are safe once a week? You don't think that's too much? Little Minnie thought once every 3 months or so. I'm scared of causing a cathartic colon.
