ISOT but couldn't find the answer to my little question. Is it possible to take too many probiotics? I currently take one in pill form daily (I can't remember the brand and it's at home in the fridge - I am at work). I was thinking about trying the Digestive Advantage, but this also contains a probiotic - would this be harmful?

It's a new one to me.

And I would think you'd have to take alot more than that to overdose if it's at all possible. Just think how much the recommended doses on different packages vary. If it's too many for your gut I'd guess you'd just poop them straight out anyway.

...it's only the repeated impossible (what is the cure for bloating? ) or really simple questions (can I have cheese? ) that annoy people...I've never seen you ask any of those!

Sand had suggested this new acronym. ISOT means "I searched on this".

I don't want to push my luck here, but I also proposed it's inverse:

Michelle, It doesn't seem to matter how much you take so combining DA with what you are already taking shouldn't create a problem. There is a wide variance of dosages within brands. For example, VSL#3 claims to have 450 billion lactic bacteria while a little BioBead has only 1 billion. From what I can tell, not even the experts can agree on a proper dosage, so I'd say the choice is yours. Kandee
