I read a post before on recipe exchange that a woman was taking Dicetel for IBS and it was helping then it stopped helping. Is that possible? I never heard of a medicine that helps and then stops helping. Thanks.

Hi - Dicetel is an anti-spasmodic, and it helps a lot for some folks. You can eventually adjust to the medication and have it stop working. Then you'd have to increase the dose or try something else. This is actually true for a lot of drugs, not something unusual.

Best,
Heather

Oh my gosh that's horrible. I take Dicetel. I hope that doesn't stop working for me because it helps and that's the only med I can take for my IBS. If it stops working I'm doomed.
Thanks.
