Does anyone know the effectiveness of fennel capsules? Are they just as effective as drinking the tea?
The brand I am considering is Nature's Way. The fennel capsules have 480mg fennel in them.
I would like to find a capsule that has fennel, chamomile, ginger in it. I have a tea with those in it, but haven't found a capsule.
Also, does anyone know anything about fennel helping with motion sickness? I think I read it somewhere. I have been flying my whole life and for some reason lately when I fly I get a little motion sick. Very strange.
Thanks for your help

Hi - Fennel caps should work. They might not be as immediately effective as the tea, but if you're taking them regularly you should definite see results. For the nausea, ginger is a better choice. Check the research library for some info on ginger for that.

Thanks Heather. I'm happy to know they'll work. As you can probably tell, I like convenience and I don't like that IBS inconveniences me so, I try to find ways around it.
This may be a long shot, but do you think that the fennel caps would work by the time I need them too if I took them at the beginning or in the middle of my meal? I tend to bloat pretty quick after I finish my meals. Just a thought. Thanks

Hi Nicolebee, I have fennel capsules from Nature's Way too. I have not taken them much. I too would like to know if they would be better at the beginning of my meal or after. I hope they work. Good luck Cloudygirl

Hi - I'd try them before your meals and then after and see which works better. There's no harm to trial and error here. You might find it works better to both, even.
