Hi,
I posted several days ago complaining of C with gas and cramps. Since I have been D for the past 6 months I am concerned. I too have become frustrated with the attitudes of some MDs and gave up on the last one a year ago. I don't know what else I am going to hear or what they will do but does anyone know a really good GI MD that specializes in IBS in the Seattle area especially north? I finally found relief from the C but the pain and gas is still there regardless of what I do or what I eat. My husband said he is afraid to sqeeze me for what might come out of me! It's great to have a supportive spouse because this stuff is not pretty.

You can take a look at this thread on good doctors . Heather's original post lists a doc in Washington and you can page through the other posts to see if anyone has listed another. There's also a suggestion for finding a good IBS doc by talking to IBS hypnotherapists. (I assume you've tried fennel tea and simethicone for the gas.)

Your husband sounds great - supportive AND with a sense of humor.
