A couple of months ago, I went off of yeast bread and started making my own spelt bread. I have posted the recipe on this site. My bloating went down and I have been completely regular.
Last night I went out and indulged in a wonderful yeast roll...I swear the thing is fermenting in my stomach right now. I am "puffy" and rather uncomfortable in my clothes.
I think I am off of yeast for good....

...it's actually one of the more regular food intolerances. Glad you've sorted out one of your issues!
CAn I just point out here for newbies that food intolerances are actually separate to IBS although they impact on the IBS! Just b/c you have IBS-C does NOT mean that you are yeast intolerant...the best way to find these things out is to get a test done and (or just) do an exlcusion diet....basically what Happy did!

I was following Heathers diet for quite some time and couldn't figure out why on earth I was still bloating etc. when I was following all the rules.
I ate few trigger foods but enjoyed white bread and the like.
Once I quit with the yeast the bloating went away.
IBS is not an exact science or we would all be cured! My message is that for all of you who are suffering from the bloating, eliminating yeast is worth a try just to see if it takes your bloat away! I eat very little processed sugar as well and that seems to have helped as well.
Wishing you the best...

Absolutely, I have food intolerances because my immune system is so low - if I don't rotate my foods regularly I end up getting intolerant to it! DOH !
