Hey there,

It seems like I have the most trouble with dinner. Like I only need to do SF only or some foods I know are uber-safe (egg whites or protein shake are one). I eat 5 x/day, only about a cup at a time. Any body else have problems w/ dinner size/content specifcally? Just starting to add in IF and having trouble...trying to figure out how much SF to eat before IF given my limited portion size.

My second question is about sugar! Hmmmm....I'm off all artifical stuff and use Steiva normally. I found GF cookies and treat. Although heavenly, I swear I can't handle that much processed crap (I'm talking like 1 cookie after dinner). Any thoughts? Can you handle processed sugar like that? I can do safe fruits OK....still experimenting. Don't really eat a lot of sugar anyway.

Thanks for your support and ideas!

I had problems with sweet stuff, initially. I'm still not at all sure why - sugar is not a GI tract stimulant or irritant at all, but even a small amount of something safe (one of Heather's low-fat quick bread recipes, for example) would send me into a D attack. Once I got more stable, that problem cleared up, thankfully.

One thing to watch for is the fat content. It should be no more than 25% of total calories from fat. I've checked out some of the GF treats at the health food store, just out of curiosity, and found them to be pretty high in fat, so that could be part of the problem. Just a thought, though - if you've already checked on that, then nevermind. LOL!
