Sugar-free candy often contains artificial sweeteners that can trigger attacks in IBSers. With that said, it really depends on your IBS and what it is sensitive to. I can have sugar-free candy with no problems, but there are a lot of other people who can't even have one piece.
Hope this helps!

I've had problems with these in the past. Big problems. Especially sugar free jelly bellies - don't even have one.
Most sugar substitutes have a laxative effect (an unpleasant one, at that), especially sorbitol. Sorbitol is being used now in most of the sugar free substitutes for the low-carb junkies. I stay away at all costs.
Who knows if it will affect you in the same way? From my experience and others I've heard, I suggest you stay away .

Artificial sweeteners are some of the worst IBS triggers for most people... I even know people who DON'T have IBS who can't eat sugar-free candies because of the laxative effect of them. You couldn't pay me to eat those things!
