i read a list of many foods that IBS sufferes cannot take, such as Red Meat and any kind of animal, is this true? so if i decided to not eat any of these foods what is it that i can eat? im already under weight and my family is scared that if i not eat the many foods that are on the list that i eat everyday, that i possible will lose more weight and may not be healthy for me, any advice would help.. You can eat fish, chicken breast, & turkey breast. Just make sure you are eating it with a soluble fiber base - rice, pasta, tortilla, bread, etc.

Hi - Mags is right - it's just as important what you DO eat as what you don't. It also matters how you eat - things like insoluble fiber foods are much more tolerable eaten certain ways (like cooked, and with soluble fiber) than other ways. Check here for info web page
Also, once you start eating safely for IBS, odds are good you'll gain back some if not all of the weight you've lost, because you'll no longer have to be afraid that eating will make you sick.

thanks for the information, sometimes i get confused what soluble fiber foods are, i will look at the link you sent me now.. KAM
