Coffee Mate-Fat Free - probably dairy (and coffee is a trigger too). Spenda - trigger. Stevia Sweetener -ok I think. I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray - probably dairy. Fat Free Parkay Spray - not sure what's in this. Baked Lays - fine I think. Baked Tostitos -good. Baked Doritos - check the ingredients. Regular Pretzels - good.

I can't believe it's not butter contains buttermilk Baked Doritoes also contain some sort of dairy as I was considering them until I read the ingredients.
you must read the ingredients of all the foods to see if they containg triggers such as HFCS, dairy in any form(whey, buttermilk, dry milk solids, etc.) That's the only way to know if a particular product is safe.
Check out the Brand Recommendation list of foods at the top of the board for some ideas.

It's so close to mine! I thought I would surely be original with mine and not confuse people with another Augie! I'm curious if there is any significance behind your name choice.

ICBINB and Parkay both have some buttermilk. I ocassionally have some though. Smart Balance light is excellent for butter alternative but cannot be baked with. For baking a soybean oil stick margarine is the way to go but is harder to find.
-------------------- IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

Augie, I appreciate your reply to the list of food subsitutions. I just found Heather's site last week and still learning how to use all the sites. I registered 2 ways (not on purpose). I didn't think the first one took. I have 2 users names since my name was taken. Auggie and Auggie14 were chosen for our Laso dog who died last March at age 14. My husband thought of this name and the kids and I liked it. All the kids are grown and married and it is just my husband and I. I was surprised that you are Augie. Is there any significance behind your choice? I had pelvic reconstructive surgery 7 weeks ago and belive this is what triggered an IBS attack. It has been a bear!!! I started Heather's foods to eat when you can't eat anything and see small difference. I have been on it for 6 days. I have lived with this for years but didn't know much about IBS. I am thankful that I found this site. Thanks again.
