hmmm...it seems everywhere i read about FAT FREE MAYO...i thought low fat would be okay b/c of the fact that heather uses small amts of oil in her recipes. i guess maybe mayo is just more "there" vs. oils that are dispersed w/in a recipe? i also think the turkey could have been the culprit..(i'm in denial that avocado could be it...LOL ) it had alot of things in it, that sound chemical-ish, and the fact that it was browned in canola, too..could have been the clincher.
oh well..i'm gonna try some rice and avocado tomorrow (sushi!) and then the 'undeniable verdict' on my beloved avocado will be definitive. (sigh)
thanks again for your response, ruchie! *hugs* right back atchya!

But it's relatively high in fat for a veggie, so you have to take this into consideration.
It's likely it was a combination of factors - dairy, higher-fat levels, processed food AND shiatsu on your tum! Tell your therapist to be more gentle there next time.

Lettuce is VERY problematic for me!

Try it again without the lettuce. And have guacamole (home-made) with baked tortilla chips - that way the avocado is the only real fat source so the snack is alot lower in fat overall.
Dairy is a problem for me even in tiny amounts. I put up with it occasionally to eat something I want to, but I always know in my tum when I've had any dairy.

I wouldn't worry about the avocado. It has some fat - but is soluble and it is the good kind of fat. As long as you don't go overboard.
I have been sensitive to lunchmeat too -- Just really have problems with it. So that may be the problem. Each person is different though.
