I don't know why, but somedays my tummy just feels so raw, almost a bruised feeling---and today is one of those days. It feels like it's burning inside. It's hard not to think about your IBS constantly when your stomach feels this way. This is not the way I feel after I eat, and I did eat sourdough toast and a peach for breakfast (with peppermint tea). I just woke up with it feeling that way, and the feeling won't go away. Anyone else experience this? My gastro doc says they have done studies on people with IBS and blown balloons up in their tummies and ouch, it hurt! Whereas, people who don't have IBS didn't feel it as the balloon was inflated. If they did that test on me today, I'm afraid I'd jump through the roof! (or bite the researcher's hand off).

Hi Beaglelover, I'm sorry your tummy is in pain. Did you eat the peach at the same time as the peppermint tea? That may not have agreed with your stomache. It's hard some times to know what to take to kill the pain. Try the peppermint again, but without the fruit. I hope you feel better soon.

Sorry you're not feeling well. Do you have a heating pad? Its my best friend lately! Make some more tea and curl up with your heating pad! Hope you feel better soon!

That's one remedy that I don't mind testing over and over, and over again.
Good for you for keeping somewhat positive!
(ok, what'd ya get!)

Technically, it was nothing exciting because after buying two new barstools this weekend, I was out of funds. So mainly it was a "looking and browsing" trip to Target. I did get some new lipstick for myself, though, and I love the color.

Gasp!! I cannot walk into Target without it turning into a shopping spree. Sad, really. But I'm glad that your quasi-shopping trip distracted you and allowed you to walk around a bit in an attempt to feel better!

Glad your feeling better, sometimes those little pick-me-ups do help. I have learned through all this you have to be good to yourself!!! Even if it is just a lipstick or a little happy treat yourself...

I def. experience this!
It's totaly unfair when you wake up feeling bad...and the day hasn't even begun (especially when you've been eating right all week...if you haven't, that could be the reason!)
I hope you get to feeling better soon--that's just awful!
*hugs*

Hi!
I am glad to hear you are feeling better. You know, I betcha it was the walking that made you feel better! Sometimes walking does help the gases and pains move around. Even if it is just "browsing" walks. LOL
